Alteva to Showcase UC Solutions at CompTIA Breakaway 2011
By Madhubanti Rudra, TMCnet Contributor
Alteva’s cloud-based UC solutions include Voice over IP phone systems and service (VoIP PBX (News - Alert)), hosted Microsoft Communication Services, fixed mobile convergence, and advanced voice applications for the desktop. Alteva’s service requires minimal installation and configuration while eliminating monthly phone and on-premise system maintenance charges, reducing overall communication costs and enabling organizations to improve productivity.
CompTIA (News - Alert) Breakaway covers diverse channel themes including healthcare IT, unified communications, cloud computing, managed print services, as well as traditional technology and business topics. Attendees can benefit from the channel training courses offered at the event. Service providers attending the training will be given a certificate of completion validating their subject knowledge.
“As voice and data networks converge, business models are also converging,” said a channel manager at Alteva in a release. “Participating in CompTIA Breakaway allows us to investigate alternative ways to engage different channel partners from an IT standpoint, and help us learn how to better educate the channel partner community by learning about what others have done successfully. We have an existing community of telecom channel partners from providing hosted VoIP since 2003. Now that we are providing hosted UC, we are looking to tap into the data channel.”
“CompTIA Breakaway is the premier event for helping us gain collaboration time to discuss business opportunities and common industry issues with other IT solution providers, vendors and distributors.”
Alteva recently announced enhancements to its Channel Partner Program. The new program can help master agents, agents and referral partners to expand their offerings, increase market share with a cloud-based UC solution and realize greater revenues. The UC solution is comprised of Alteva’s hosted VoIP integrated with Microsoft (News - Alert) Communication Services, including Exchange, Office Communications Server (OCS) and SharePoint.
Last week, Warwick Valley Telephone Company, a telecommunications company operating in southern Orange (News - Alert) (News - Alert) County, New York and portions of central New York and northwestern New Jersey entered into a definitive asset purchase agreement to acquire substantially all of Alteva’s assets of Alteva for approximately $17 million.
