DIGITALK Unveils SBC VoIP Peering

DIGITALK SBC VoIP Peering (News - Alert) is based on DIGITALK’s carrier-grade session border controller for VoIP routing, and incorporates full carrier rates management, automated routing, reporting and troubleshooting plus the unique benefit of an integrated prepaid engine.

DIGITALK SBC VoIP Peering is said to include SIP and H.323 signaling interworking, media relay and transcoding, automated routing plan management, real-time prepaid rating, and full network and service monitoring and reporting. Moreover, its software-based transcoding is said to expand the carrier routing choices available to a service provider. Also, there is no need to incorporate and maintain external or third party hardware components.

In addition, DIGITALK’s margin-based routing, coupled with operations user interface is said to enable carriers to ensure target profitability is achieved by responding rapidly to destination cost changes with routing plan or customer price changes. When combined with DIGITALK’s real time rating, the DIGITALK SBC VoIP Peering application is said to deliver added benefits and minimizing fraud and revenue leakage risks for carriers.

Norris believes that the company has followed a philosophy of consolidation of operations capabilities that are typically managed by third party solutions, providing a clear and compelling vision by addressing the complexity of wholesale service management and growth. According to Norris, service providers can now benefit with both reduced operations effort while being armed for the platform to grow and diversify as markets transform.
