NTT Com Adding UCaaS Plan, Expanding SIP Trunking Area for its Unified Communications Services
By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor
NTT (News - Alert) Communications Corporation (NTT Com) has announced that the UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) Plan will be included in its Arcstar Unified Communications Services. With the inclusion of the UCaaS plan, Arcstar's Global IP-VPN customers will be provided with multiple communication capabilities on a flexible cloud-basis. Furthermore, the company will also be broadening its SIP Trunking Plan, initially introduced in Singapore this May, across 15 countries with further expansions planned across an additional 30 countries by March.
As market trends evolve, business enterprises are expected to respond to changing market dynamics quickly. The UCaaS Plan which integrates functionalities such as IP phones and instant/voice messaging, status checks and telephone/video/web conferencing over different devices can help enterprises address market changes quickly and in an efficient way. The UCaaS Plan functions on the Cisco (News - Alert) Hosted Collaboration Solution platform.
In a release, Bob Gault, Vice President, Worldwide Partner Organization, Cisco said, "Through the Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution, Cisco is enabling our partners to provide cloud-based solutions that offer unmatched levels of flexibility for their customers. We look forward to continuing to work closely with NTT Communications to ultimately assist their customers globally in deploying collaboration technologies that bring about a new way of working."
Customers leveraging the UCaaS Plan will be able to unify the construction and management of systems to enable seamless flow of communication between different offices located across the globe. The plan eliminates any breakdown in communication as it allows customers to integrate multiple devices into a single number. Other tasks such as conferencing can also be unified through the UCaaS Plan which allows for a comparative analysis of work styles with ideal communication device. NTT Com will provide the new service on a flexible cloud basis so customers have the option of regulating the usage of the service. Additionally, customers are saved the costs of maintaining a dedicated PBX (News - Alert) facility and data centers.
Masahiro Wakai, Senior Vice President of NTT Com said, "By adopting globally-respected Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution as a platform, NTT Com has achieved its goal of offering a cloud-based unified communication service worldwide. With our aim of becoming a 'Global ICT Partner,' we will continue our efforts to offer reliable, globally seamless ICT services built on constant innovation.”
