Voxbone Demonstrates Continued Growth, Customer Satisfaction in 2010

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Voxbone, which provides wholesale international virtual numbers, said it has recorded continuous growth and market acceptance in 2010.

The company, which provides geographical, toll-free and iNum (News - Alert) worldwide, reported a 38 percent increase in revenue from 2009. Network traffic climbed significantly and customers indicated high levels of satisfaction.

According to official reports from Voxbone (News - Alert), minutes of use for inbound traffic grew to 2.1 billion, up 40 percent from 2009. The company also strengthened its workforce by increasing the number of employees to 58, up 53 percent. The core network of Voxbone experienced no downtime.

The continued growth for Voxbone is mainly attributed to the rising demand from global carriers and mobile and fixed national network operators for innovative and high-quality inbound solutions.

Company officials say the quest by these service providers for new revenue streams and the ongoing transition to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is expected to further drive Voxbone's success in 2011.

“Last year was another very solid year for Voxbone, adding to tremendous progress in our five-year history,” said Voxbone CEO Rod Ullens, in a statement. “We continue to attract customers steadily as we increase the breadth and geographic range of our services.”

Ullens also said the results of a customer-satisfaction survey were personally rewarding with nearly 91 percent of respondents citing the quality of Voxbone services was “good” or “very good,” while nearly 90 percent rated the reliability of the company’s services as “good” or “very good.”

The company achieved several milestones in 2010. The adoption of iNum numbers was increased as British Telecom, Belgacom and Verizon (News - Alert) Europe began routing calls to iNums.

In another major development Voxbone added SMS services, as well as reachability through ENUM and SIP-URI features. In November, the company started offering one-stop support for SMS, enabling end users with phone numbers in foreign markets to receive text messages, as well as voice calls, at local rates.

In 2011, the company plans to expand its local number portability coverage by raising the number of countries where it can port local numbers to at least 25 from the current 17. It will also improve its state-of-the-art Web portal by adding functionalities to the portal and the API and by giving its customers even more reporting and statistical tools.
