Encore Networks and Access Wireless Data Solutions Sign Reseller Agreement
Encore Networks (News - Alert) recently announced that its entire BANDIT line of rugged routers will now be sold, engineered and serviced by Access Wireless Data Solutions. Under the terms of the reseller agreement, Access Wireless, in addition to the BANDIT line of routers, will also focus on C2C – a cost-effective improvement over the Plain Old Telephone Services (POTs) copper line based M2M applications. “Our objective is not to be just a mega reseller of hardware,” said David Schwarz, president of Access Wireless Data Solutions. “Instead, we focus on the relationship we have with our client’s and the value-added approach we take to be a strategic business partner rather than just a vendor. Encore’s BANDIT helps us to achieve that goal by offering a family of products that provides a graceful migration to IP bringing together a combination of legacy data protocols, security functions, and management tools that both the enterprise user wants and the service provider demands.” Encore’s BANDIT routers, designed to serve both commercial and ruggedized industrial purposes, are used in M2M applications that are deployed in the toughest network environments. Leveraging the vast legacy protocols library of Encore, Access Wireless will both be able to understand and evaluate customer requirements to provide them with the most optimized network solutions while also minimizing capital expenditures. The C2C has been designed as a feature rich, high-availability, broadband wireless router capable of providing support for the critical and demanding M2M applications. The C2C works by transferring data to a public or private IP cellular platform, eliminating the need for maintaining copper lines. Land O’ Lakes, Florida-based Access Wireless, is a major source of commercial and industrial M2M wireless data communications products supporting both fixed and mobile solutions. Access Wireless, which focuses specifically on M2M solutions, collaborates with businesses that source wireless data communications infrastructure to support remote access for connectivity and data collection and for managing assets in the field.
