Acme Packet Wins Multiple Awards for IP Communications Networking
By Jyothi Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor
TMC (News - Alert) Labs Innovation Award and NGN Leadership Award were sponsored by INTERNET TELEPHONY. This prestigious award recognizes solutions that display innovation, unique features, and significant contributions toward improving communications technology.
The Acme Packet Net-Net SIP Multimedia-Xpress (SMX) was the solution that won the credits for its ability to consolidate several IP Multimedia Subsystem (News - Alert) (IMS) functions into a single network element. Net-Net SMX simplifies IMS and VoIP architectures, reducing total cost of ownership and allowing service providers to quickly bring new services to market.
“The way we communicate and the technology to support this are rapidly changing, and we're honored to receive these awards which recognize our significant dedication to meeting growing communications needs," said Marianne Budnik, CMO, Acme Packet. "We believe our solutions help our customers reduce operation costs, simplify their architectures, and provide access to new multimedia communications services such as video conference, and we're grateful that TMC, INTERNET TELEPHONY, and Next Gen Mobility have also recognized this."
In addition, Acme’s Net-Net product family caters to demanding security, service assurance and regulatory requirements in service provider, enterprise and contact center networks.
"Acme Packet has been recognized for their exceptional work in advancing next generation services and technologies. Acme Packet's Net-Net SMX has proven it is exceptional and its innovation has contributed to the transformation of the industry," stated Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), CEO, TMC. "We are pleased to honor Acme Packet for driving the next generation of technologies that will enable our communications needs."
Based in Bedford, Massachusetts, Acme Packet designs and manufactures its products in the U.S., selling them through over 250 reseller partners worldwide.
