In another story, TMCnet’s Allison Boccamazzo interviewed Tyler Delin, SmartNode product manager at Patton, as well as Sean Gerrity, regional director, North America and Japan, who provided details on its plans regarding ITEXPO (News - Alert) Austin. Delin stressed the importance of Patton bringing complete, best-of-breed solutions rather than just hardware. In another story, BSNL, India’s largest Public Sector Undertaking telco operator, will be soon launching a tablet PC – IRA ICON – a mobile and durable tablet for Indian markets in association with WishTel, a manufacturer of tablet PCs, netbooks and mobility solutions. Priced at less than $200, the triple play seven-inch tablet PC has 800 x 480 pixel capacitive multi-touch screen which runs on Android (News - Alert) 4.0.
TMCnet also reported on how in today’s ever-growing age of Android, iPhone, tablets and desktops connected via a multitude of home and corporate firewalls and network proxies, delivering real-time services in a scalable fashion has become a big challenge. In light of this trend, PubNub, a cloud service for building scalable real-time apps, has revealed that Rebtel (News - Alert), a VoIP company, has selected the company for improving its offered services.
Increasing adoption of xDSL, fiber and cable-based broadband by communications service providers has made standard telephone line termination in broadband gateways an important part of next-generation network deployments, resulting in growth for the voice line interface. Capitalizing on this opportunity, Lantiq, a supplier of broadband access and home networking technologies, has revealed a new version of its DUSLIC- xT, a single package Subscriber Line Interface Circuit, providing all necessary functions to implement voice telephony in broadband customer premise equipment.
