Juniper Networks Routers Deployed by Australian Provider UberGlobal
By Shankar Pandiath, TMCnet Contributor
Juniper Network’s MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers have been deployed by Australian Web hosting and Cloud service provider, UberGlobal to scale the network’s connection between its cloud data centers in Canberra and Sydney, which will ultimately improve service and delivery for enterprise customers.
UberGlobal replaced its aging Internet border gateways with Juniper Networks’ (News - Alert) products based on their scalability and the streamlined network administration enabled by the Junos operating system.
Dwayne Varey, UberGlobal's chief technology officer, said that deploying Juniper Network MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers represents a significant evolution of its infrastructure, which will enable continued rapid growth of customers and services while simultaneously enhancing reliability and security.
UberGlobal thus can expand its subscriber’s base, bandwidth and services easily, as Juniper Network’s MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers can be used to scale in all the three dimensions. A wide range of interfaces from DS3 to 100 Gigabit Ethernet can be supported by the routers which enables UberGlobal to be flexible enough to scale and to be able to match all the changing requirements of its network.
Juniper Network MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers have native support for both IPv4 and IPv6. UberGlobal can thus have smooth transition to IPv6.
Varey added that we are already offering IPv6 services and with Juniper Networks’ routers in place, as we have the technology to transition customers as quickly as they wish, without any impact on service quality.
