Red Lion Controls, Strengthens Ethernet Switching Solutions Portfolio
By Rahul Arora, TMCnet Contributor
Red Lion Controls, a company that offers communication, monitoring and control for industrial automation, has unveiled more products as a part of its industrial Ethernet switching solutions portfolio.
The Industrial Ethernet switches are designed to meet diverse networking environments. Built-in redundancy, coupled with robust reliability, ensures infrastructures stay up and running around the clock.
Ideal for wash down, temporary water immersion, offshore, dust proof, military, power substation, transportation and other outdoor applications, the Red Lion N-Tron 716M12 is dustproof and bulkhead mountable (Optional DIN-Rail mounting). It also provides protection against low/high pressure water jets.
On the other hand, The Red Lion Sixnet SLX-5EG-1 is a 5-port all Gigabit industrial Ethernet switch designed for reliable performance in industrial networking environments.
Gigabit operation drives fast data throughput and network efficiency.
The SLX-3EG media converter is a three-port all Gigabit industrial Ethernet media converter that provides fast performance to enable real-time operation in industrial networking applications. The SLX-3ES is an industrial Ethernet copper to fiber media converter that provides fast performance, allowing for real-time operation in industrial networking applications.
The SLX series features rugged construction optimized for high tolerance to extreme environmental conditions.
"Many transportation, video surveillance and security applications run outdoors in harsh conditions around the clock so they require reliable Ethernet connections," said Diane Davis, director of product management, Ethernet networking at Red Lion Controls. "Our new switches provide flexible connectivity options that deliver the reliability and performance expected of industrial Ethernet to support bandwidth-intensive applications such as video traffic."
The 716M12 and all SLX switches and media converters are available now through authorized Red Lion N-Tron and Sixnet resellers and distributors.
