ThreatSTOP extends partnership with Juniper Networks
By Rahul Arora, TMCnet Contributor
SaaS (News - Alert) solutions provider ThreatSTOP recently announced that it has extended its partnership with network infrastructure solutions market leader Juniper Networks (News - Alert). Per the terms of the agreement, ThreatSTOP will now support the Juniper MX series routers, and enable companies to update their Juniper SRX and MX Series service gateways with active and known malicious criminal IP addresses.
Juniper Networks MX Series is a family of Ethernet routers designed to meet very large scale and medium-to-small size applications for both enterprise class routing and service provider networks. The MX Series 3D Ethernet router provides scaling in bandwidth, services, and subscribers, to business, mobile, and residential, network services that is necessary to address today’s carrier-class converged network requirements.
The SRX Series Services Gateways are security, routing and network solutions for enterprise and service providers. SRX Series gateways pack high port-density, advanced security, and flexible connectivity, into a single, easily managed platform that supports fast, secure, and highly-available, data center and branch operations.
“Enhancing our support to include the Juniper MX routers greatly increases ThreatSTOP’s ability to address the growing needs around Cloud security,” said Tom Brynes, Founder and CEO of ThreatSTOP. “The future is cloud computing and ThreatSTOP is at the leading edge in proving a rock solid network security solution for cloud service providers.”
“The partnership between ThreatSTOP and Juniper Networks started with support on the Juniper SRX firewalls; expanding our support to the MX Series shows the flexibility and power of Juniper JunOS software”, said Chris Lee (News - Alert), Vice President of Sales. “Our resellers and VAR channels have been asking for ThreatSTOP to support the Juniper MX platform. The feedback from our first few clients have been outstanding, they are excited about the growth potential this brings.
Securing IP networks is a top priority for IT professionals and router vendors like Juniper Networks, community host Patton and others are keenly aware of the threats posed by malware and it is not surprising ThreatSTOP is seeking to work with router vendors to provide the IP addresses of known problems.
