Patton is reportedly looking to showcase two of its latest services catering to wireless carriers, at Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) 2013 in Barcelona, Feb. 25-28. The first line of systems, according to the report, is of BODirS (Bandwidth-on-Demand Internet Routers), which offer fast Internet access over bonded multi-link 3G, 4G and VSAT, and can combine up to seven modems over 3G/4G/LTE (News - Alert). The second is the SmartNode 10K family, consisting of VoIP gateways that make for a seamless move to a modern IP carrier infrastructure, converging TDM, IP and hybrid connections simultaneously.
The company is also featuring its own Bobby Patton at a World Trade Center Institute panel on company dealings in South Africa. The founder will reflect on his firm’s past practices to inform some of the things on the docket for its participation in the telecommunications market in that region of the world moving forward.
Redsky Technologies was next into the wires with its new E911 Manager, which cleared interoperability testing with the Joint Interoperability Test Command, earning the company a spot on the Department of Defense Unified Capabilities Approved Products List. Used by more than a million RedSky (News - Alert) clients for E911 security, according to the story, the company’s on-premises program tracks numerous media for emergency communication – from analog to SIP and Wi-Fi.
PathSolutions broke with an announcement on Thursday about a new version of its VoIP and network performance management suites, the VoIP Network Performance Manager 4.3 and Network Performance Manager 4.3. The programs provide excellent tracking of businesses’ Power over Ethernet consumption, automated to resolve call and other IP-based data quality issues without eating through resources.
TMC’s (News - Alert) Ashley Caputo capped the week in VoIP Routers with a statement on how individuals who use Voice over IP networks to communicate with one another are doing so in a cost-efficient fashion. Especially with advances to call quality – HD audio and the development of voice peering fabrics (VPF) in particular – it’s that much more important to stay keen to its affect on a user’s assets. Unlimited nationwide calling is one such deal that is reportedly much less expensive than traditional service plans, as well as portable area codes and international rates, both of which are surprisingly reasonable when taking advantage of the latest in VoIP communication.
That’s all for this week! VoIP Routers is bound for another set of events next week, so don’t go too far…
