VoIP Supply Enables Schools to Set Up Wireless Network
By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor
VoIP Supply is enabling schools to set up wireless networks through its Edu Assist Program that helps these educational institutes adopt mobile, wireless technology in classrooms.
The Edu Assist Program is designed to help students learn with tablets by leveraging wireless access points. This program is already popular and to date has assisted several schools and colleges to deploy the VoIP phone systems.
Deployment program of VoIP phone systems is already successful and now this program is helping educational institutes to set up a wireless network.
A strong and secure wireless local area network (WLAN) is required to support wireless devices and scalable solutions from established wireless access point (WAP) are required for larger WLAN deployments.
"Wireless devices are commonplace and applications for their use are always expanding," said VoIP Supply CEO Ben Sayers. "The ease of setting up wireless networks is driving the strong demand for game-changing mobile learning in schools."
VoIP Supply recommends using solutions from Cisco (News - Alert) and Ruckus. Offered for both indoor and outdoor functionality, Ruckus ZoneFlex features a combination of power and simplicity of use to deliver great Wi-Fi flexibility and function.
Schools can also use Cisco Wireless Access Points as they provide Wi-Fi access anywhere on-site while scanning the network for malicious attacks from hackers on a continuous basis.
VoIP Supply also notes a recent Amplify sponsored survey on Mobile Technology for K-12 Education that is based on interviews of more than 500 district leaders.
Findings of the survey indicate that over 50 percent of the respondents use mobile technology in 25 percent of their schools. Also, research reveals a growing popularity for tablet use in educational institutes for learning purpose.
The survey results emphasize the relevance of the Edu Assist Program by VoIP Supply.
VoIP Supply supplies VoIP equipment and complete VoIP solutions in North America. The company was in news last week for announcing the availability of its new Digium (News - Alert) Switchvox Appliances.
