Edgewater Networks Joins Presentations at ITEXPO and Beyond
By Steve Anderson, Contributing TMCnet Writer
Edgewater Networks is a major presence in the session border controller market, especially when it comes to the enterprise session border controller (ESBC). Perfect evidence of this comes from the upcoming presentations that Edgewater Networks (News - Alert) will be part of, at not only the currently-running ITEXPO event, but also beyond that as well.
Edgewater Networks will have a substantial presence at ITEXPO (News - Alert), running through Aug. 29 at the Mandalay Bay Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. Edgewater's vice president of marketing, Dave Martin, will be a featured panelist in a discussion panel entitled “SBCs—A Must for Your Enterprise IT Network.” This panel will offer commentary from several different panelists in the industry over a wide array of topics, ranging from security and privacy issues and the traffic encryption methods required to make these points happen, to issues like detecting threats to the larger overall network, issues of interoperability, and even more technical matters like media and signaling forking, network demarcation, and more besides.
Those concerned about issues relating to the proper use of VoIP and Unified Communications (UC)—and how to help make sure these two points are working hard to generate revenue or cut expenses—will also be well taken care of on this one, and the whole thing is set to kick off Thursday, Aug. 29, and run from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Pacific time at Mandalay Bay.
Beyond that, though, there are more speaking engagements in line for Edgewater Networks, as the company's CEO, Dave Norman, will be part of a Fireside Chat event at TC3 2013: Telecom Council Carrier Connections at the Juniper Aspiration Dome in Sunnyvale, Calif. The event will run Sept. 18-19, and will find Norman joined by several other industry names to discuss new opportunities like software defined networking (SDN) and the like.
Given that Edgewater Networks just rolled out a new line of ESBCs in the form of the EdgeMarc 7000 Series and the two models—the EdgeMarc 7300 and the EdgeMarc 7400—contained therein, it's clear why Edgewater would be delivering talks on these topics. Chances are the presentations Edgewater will be featured in will prove very enlightening, and those who want to keep up with all the great developments going on in the SBC sector, and beyond, will want to clear the calendar for these.
Edgewater has a terrific presence in the field, and while it's likely to put on a great show, it's also got a lot to offer in terms of its product line, so keeping Edgewater Networks in mind for not just information but also help with expansion is just as likely to pay off in the long run.
