Allworx (News - Alert) recently announced the introduction of the PowerFlex – a new line of Ethernet switches. The latest offering from Allworx, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Windstream (News - Alert), is aimed at making the customer experience of upgrading to next generation communications capabilities much easier starting with the installation and including on-going support of the new products and Allworx existing systems.
The Rochester, NY-based company is a provider of VoIP (Voice over IP) unified communications systems. Its products and solution are utilized by a large number of industries and organizations and include both not-for-profit and government locations which are serviced through the company’s network of authorized dealers.
Chris Hasenauer, vice president and general manager of Allworx in commenting about the latest additions to the company product portfolio said, “PowerFlex allows our customers to have a complete Allworx solution from end-to-end and will improve our customers' experience by simplifying installation and support of our systems. Our customers have been asking us to provide additional products built with the reliability they have come to know with our existing products. PowerFlex does exactly that.”
PowerFlex is future ready and backward compatible. As Hansenauer emphasized, the goal was to make life easier for the customer, and provide the channel with a strong value proposition.
The PowerFlex line consists of three products which suit the different Allworx voice server sizes. All switches come with capabilities such:
The last item is a benefit since it is what allows for elimination of lengthy installations and facilitates a big reduction in having to address post-installation issues.
Hasenauer added that, “We are continuously making additions and enhancements to our product line to enhance our users' experience. PowerFlex demonstrates that total commitment to our customers.”
It should be noted that Allworx parent Windstream is a FORTUNE 500 and S&P 500 company specializing in the delivery of advanced network communications.
