Eseye Adds New HERA800 to its HERA Series of Enterprise-Grade Integrated Services Routers
By Deepika Mala, TMCnet Contributor
Eseye, a technology supplier delivering managed machine-to-machine services, together with VoIP hardware partner Dataflex (News - Alert), unveiled its new HERA800 business continuity router at the Broadsoft Connections 2013 event.
Commenting on the HERA800 release, Dataflex CTO Jon Darley said, “Dataflex has been manufacturing and supplying enterprise grade integrated access devices and voice gateways to carriers worldwide for over a decade and through its partnership with Eseye, we can now offer our customers a wider range of applications and services. This latest product launch marks another significant chapter for both companies as we continue to develop world class M2M solutions.”
The HERA800 provides all the border elements that are needed by carriers and offers a VoIP gateway, wire-speed Gb routing, Wi-Fi, an enterprise session border controller and full machine-to-machine and 4G/LTE (News - Alert) functionality.
Built to open standards with high-performance processors and hardware accelerators, the HERA800 allows both Eseye and Dataflex carrier partners to deploy e-SBC capability and fully enable SIP trunking services. It also helps them offer additional layered security into their business customer voice networks.
Officials said that the HERA800 is fully compliant with TR-069 and BroadWorks device management systems. The release also comes with firmware updates that support third party vendor equipment, including IP video, SIP phones, Serial, Telemetry and Zigbee connected devices.
Eseye CEO Julian Hardy said, “Eseye and Dataflex’s HERA800 router offers service providers an all-in-one future-proof voice and data solution. Demand for e-SBCs in our current voice markets continues to rise and there couldn't be a better time to present a business continuity router that delivers on every level.”
In related news, TMCnet reported that Eseye's GSM enabled utility monitor "Shoebill" has won the Home Energy Monitoring Award at the 2013 European Smart Metering Awards.
