VoIP Routers Week in Review

It was a busy week in the VoIP Routers sector. Here are some of the major stories.
Patton Electronics is set to expand its network of resellers and stimulate growth within Central and Eastern Europe. The company recently signed three new business partners to deliver and support Patton networking products in the region. The value-added distributors are: Young B.T.S. Ltd in Budapest, Hungary; Kontel in Warsaw, Poland; and Interbit in Nicosia, Cyprus. Central and Eastern Europe has been described as a tech hub. With the addition of three new distributors, Patton is now well-positioned to satisfy local demand for Patton equipment and provide on-the-ground sales, marketing and customer support in the Hungarian, Polish and Greek languages. Overall, Patton has been focusing on expanding its global operations. Operating in 142 countries, Patton provides free customer support in 10 languages.
In another story, Vocalocity, a Vonage (News - Alert) company – which provides hosted VoIP phone systems to small- and medium-sized businesses in the U.S. and Canada – has launched new mobile, desktop applications, and Salesforce.com (News - Alert) and call-history plugins. The new solutions will help businesses to increase sales, improve productivity and strengthen customer relationships. The company’s new applications and plugins are what business owners and their employees need to manage companies. Mobile applications, which are available for iPhone and Android (News - Alert) operating system devices, allow users to extend many of their business phone service features to their smartphones. Users can monitor call queues, read voicemail transcripts, review call history, and manage account and extension settings.
It was also reported how Nobel Ltd., recently unveiled a new app for iPhone (News - Alert) and Android operating system devices. NobelApp is fully compatible with all of the company’s existing products. NobelApp says it offers competitive rates for international calls. It also provides all-around connectivity, which helps users use their data connection or Wi-Fi to place calls or use local-access numbers. Call history, international cell phone recharge for more than 270 mobile networks worldwide and international text messaging are among the features found on the new app.
And another article relayed how the snom 7xx series and 8xx series business phones have attained certification with PaloSanto’s Elastix open-source Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) solution. It shows the expanded partnership of snom and Elastix.
