VoIP Routers Week in Review

Cirrus Logic, a provider of high-precision analog and digital signal processing components, is introducing a new line of voice processors for mobile applications. They will become part of its portfolio of portable audio ICs. The ultra-low power Cirrus Logic (News - Alert) CS48LV12/13 voice processors will feature SoundClear technology to improve voice recognition accuracy in mobile devices.
In another story, the new e150 integrated router board from iDirect Government Technologies (iGT) is designed to meet the U.S. military’s requirements for remote sensor monitoring. The new router incorporates spread spectrum technology that can be integrated into ultraportable antennas and keyline control for battery power management savings. It has DVB-S2/ACM and time division multiple access; basic routing; and virtual local area network functionality.
In another story, Tilgin, which specializes in software-controlled home gateways and remote management solutions for multi-play and next-generation broadband access, announced that new Home Gateways, HG2370 and HG2330, are available. Launched at the FTTH Council Europe Conference, the new gateways offer operators a simplified option for the deployment and maintenance of their FTTH strategy.
It was reported, too, that with the launch of the new Iridium Pilot Land Station, Iridium’s (News - Alert) OpenPort service is now capable of delivering broadband communications to terrestrial users. Reliable Internet connection and voice calling facilities will be available to many remote individuals and to businesses in locations that were until now deemed off-the-grid. The OpenPort service is believed to be the first high-speed network specifically engineered for the maritime market and it is designed to deliver IP connectivity around the world, even on the North and South Poles.
And Telarus, a distributor of voice, data and cloud services was recognized as 2013 Top Partner by Vocal IP Networx (News - Alert), a facilities-based ISP and IP telephony services provider headquartered in New York City.
